Panthera leo
Mature males have distictive mane which can either be tan or black once older. Rest of the body is tan in colour on the top and white stomach area with a black tiped tail. Females lack the mane but are the same in colour on body.
Historically have always occured in the African savanna, Kalahari, as well as a few patches in India. But now can be found in other habitats within Africa and around the world.
This male is of about 5-7 yrs old as you can see by the black in the mane as well as the hair under his armpits. This male is in a coalition with another male and they hold quite a large terrritory in the Sabi Sands.
