Amsinckia menziesii
Fiddlenecks with an orangish tones. unlike the yellow ones I am used to seeing.
foothills
Maybe i never noticed it before but there is a vivid display of wild flowers in the surrounding hills.
Like other members of the genus, it has a terminal flowering whorl somewhat shaped like the head of a violin or fiddle, hence the name fiddleneck. The flowers are yellow-orange, orange, or dark yellow.
