Couepia polyandra
This is a small tree, it grows 10 to 35 m in height; twigs whitish; stipules linear, deciduous. Leaves simple, alternate, 6-13 per 2.5 to 5.5 cm, oblong to oblong-elliptic, apex acuminate, with whitish arachnoid pubescence on underside, entire margin. Its edible fruit has a pleasant sweet taste and texture somewhat pasty. In Guanacaste was common to see these trees in home yards.
