Case moth caterpillar

Family Psychidae, Subfamily Psychinae (?)

Description:

A very large case, its surface mimics the surface of the branch it was attached to. The upper opening of the case is lined with a cotton like material, probably hardened silk. The same material fixes the case to the branch. More than 10 cm (4 in) long. Last photo shows the scale of the case.

Carol, Larry, Luis and Harsha, thank you. @Ceherzog, I am very curious to know what will come out from that. I didn't want to mess with it, but I'll try to keep an eye on it.
