Basiliscus vittatus
Photo take in my backyard this is a young male is moving on top of a bunch of bushes, about 60 cm long. This one will grow up to 1 mt long some day. Smaller basilisks can run about 10-20 metres on the water without sinking. Young basilisks can usually run farther than older ones, this is a very common reptile in this area. Also Know as (Jesus Lizard).
They are native of México, Panama, Belize, northwestern Colombia and Costa Rica, but have been introduced in U.S.
