They coo coo coo. I thought it was an owl by it's voice. Loves to eat seeds.

Habitat:

They have just hung outside on my step for 45min.

Welcome! To complete your spotting, you could add the scientific name, Zenaida macroura.

Welcome to Project Noah! This is a great community and I hope you enjoy it here.

Since you know the species in your spotting (and many of your other spottings) you should add the scientific name. Without the scientific name, your spotting is considered unidentified. Most scientific names of organisms can be found with a quick internet search (for example you can do a search for "Mourning Dove scientific name" and it will give you results with several web sites including the scientific name Zenaida macroura).
