Uday, I think your mixed up which plant the flower is on. The long thin leaves you see belongs to another plant. The plant that the flower is on has fuzzy roundish leaves. I believe it may be a type of Ruellia. The flower is bell shaped in the photo. Many Ruellia flowers are this shape and color but I'm having trouble matching the leaves to a Ruellia plant species.

It's not "Portulaca grandiflora". I looked at many photos. I have seen something like this before, I just don't remember the name. I'm I right in thinking that you found this in the desert somewhere and not in someones yard where it could have been planted?

I tried to figure out this one for you but what I found doesn't really look the same. It might be some kind Phacelia but I'm not sure.
