A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Chauliodes rastricornis
Fairly large winged insect. Brown with dark markings on head and protonum. Females have serrate (saw-like) antennae while males have pectinate (comb-like) antennae. This was fairly late in the season for this species so I was surprised to see her.
Suburban. Attracted to a flood light at night.
