Hermit crab or tree crab

Description:

6 legs, red, 2 claws, lives in a shell, has antenna.

Habitat:

Beaches of Ecuador and chile

Notes:

Sold commercially in united states in resort areas.( myrtle beach) They like to crawl and have to have food & water. As pets they drink water from a sponge, and have to be sprayed with water daily. If one pinches you with its pincher, you would have to run hot water over it to get the hermit crab to release .
