Description:

Long clusters of yellow to pink flowers, can be as tall as 40ft

Habitat:

Honolulu. The hybrid was formed in Hawaii. The plant formed from two plants from Indonesia, The golden shower tree and the pink shower tree, to create the rainbow shower tree.

Notes:

Common uses/hazards/importance: Planted as an ornamental for its cascading flowers. Popular as a street tree in some tropical regions. Date and method of arrival in Hawaii: Indigenous? Yes Endemic? Yes Invasive? No Other interesting historical, cultural, or ecological information: Interesting that this plant is a hybrid that is a sterile hybrid. Made from two plants from Indonesia but was created here, the plants does not produce any seeds
