This beautiful hopper stayed for a long photo shoot and then shot itself in the air to sit on another leaf some 2 meters away.

Lower Himalayas.

Lovely spotting, Harsha. It's from family Dictyopharidae and looks a lot like a Dictyophara sp., however, genus needs to be confirmed since Dictyophara does not seem to occur in India. - http://hemiptera-databases.org/flow/?pag...
