btlounsbury is correct - it's a black widow spider. Do you happen to have a clearer shot of it? I can narrow down the ID if you can tell me whether or not the red hourglass shape is complete (one piece) or broken (separated into 2 red pieces). Thanks!

Also, this spotting is an arachnid so it needs to go into the Arthropods category.
