Description:

Order: Coleoptera Suborder: Polyphaga Infraorder: Cucujiformia Super family: Tenebrionoidea Family: Tenebrionidae Subfamily: Tenebrioninae

Habitat:

Chihuahuan desert, at Cuatro Ciénegas Basin. This site has calcareuos soil (Calcium carbonate and sulphate).

Notes:

Lives in calcareous soil, which is white, so, its color fits perfectly!

It looks like there are mites on the one antenna in the first photo, and a small one on its side above the first leg in the second photo.
