Sothern Giraffe

Giraffa camelopardalis giraffa

Description:

Unmistakable because of their height and long neck and legs. Covered with irregular patches of fawn, chestnut-brown, dark brown or nearly black, on an off-white or buff background. There is a pair of short, thick horns on the top of the head, covered with hairy skin except at the tips.(Smithers' mammals of southern africa a field guide. fourth edition)

Habitat:

Woodland

Notes:

It is full of giraffes, but this grabbed my curiosity because I finally noticed the way they chew, which is horizzontal and not vertical(you can see the crooked mouth in the first photo.)
