Black and Yellow Garden Spider

Argiope aurantia

Description:

This scary looking spider has bright yellow and white markings on it's large abdomen and a sort of white head with very long legs. It's made a very organized web in one of my flower pots. The web has a center structure visible in the pictures. The spider is quite aggressive.

Notes:

Given it's bright colors I'm afraid it's poisonous and keep the kids away.

Harmless unless you're an insect :)
