Green lacewing

Description:

about 20mm large, bright green body, blue at neck and translucent wings with a slight iridescence.

Notes:

The larvae of Green Lacewing are active predators, eating eggs and immature stages of many soft bodied insect being used in a pest control programs. The larvae will eat for 2-3 weeks, spin a cocoon, and 10-14 days later, emerge as adults.
