Chain Pickerel

Description:

10" long, thin, "duck-billed" predator caught while sampling for fish species in a slow section of the Manada Creek

Habitat:

Slow, 1.5 ft. deep rocky section of the Manada Creek below the water company dam- steep banks with many large sycamore trees

Notes:

This is the first chain pickerel ever caught while using a seine net in these classes in this stretch of stream.
