Lupinus polyphyllus
Lupins at LakeTekapo. In New Zealand it is considered an invasive species, because is widespread in Canterbury area, and is documented as being first naturalised in 1958 and it has been suggested that "tour bus drivers deliberately spread seeds of the plant to promote colourful roadside vegetation in areas which some tourists may consider to be rather drab", according to wiki. No matter what, it's a very beautiful flower!

We don't have lupins in the wild in Greece, I remember I saw a cultivation many years ago in Tzoumerka mountains, Epirus, but that was all...

Yes, dear @Brainpunk, photos were taken at Lake Tekapo...It's very nice over there, but it's even nicer when the lupins are flourishing!
