I live in Ramona,Ca and have one that looks a lot like this one. I call her Peaches

Hi garry, I agree with Ashis. This looks like a female Mantis from Genus Stagmomantis. There are two different species in this genus found in California and they are nearly impossible to distinguish without looking at the wings or abdomen of the male.

This is either a California Mantis, Stagmomantis californica:

Stagmomantis limbata:

You can just put Stagmomantis sp. in the Scientific Name section if the species can't be determined.
