Around 7:40 a.m. in the morning, I spotted a small mushroom, growing on top of the ( front door mat ). Last night, this mushroom was not here. This morning, it was. This mushroom, was three inches high. The cap was one half of an inch long, and one half of an inch wide. Every morning for about a week, there has been one or two mushrooms, growing from the top of the ( front door mat ), when it gets light outside. I am able to see the new mushrooms, as soon as it gets light outside. Around one hour to one and a half hours later, something strange happens. All of a sudden, the cap of each mushroom, just bends over. Soon, each mushroom, just shrivels up, and then each mushroom, slowly rots away, until there is nothing left, of each of these mushrooms. This has been going on for about a week now....Kingdom: Fungi.
Mushrooms grow on vegetable matter. They can grow on living trees, and even on other mushrooms, or on decaying trees, soil that is based on decayed trees.
