Amanita Mushroom

Description:

I found these in my front yard growing from roots of a dead Ash Tree. There are about 5 of them, ranging in size from 2-5 inches tall, and 1-2 inches in diameter. I have never seen mushrooms like this before. I did a web search and I believe these are Amanita mushrooms.

Habitat:

On the ground in the yard...though quite thick with trees, so shady.

Feist, if you are going to eat that, you are in for a big surprise. It's not only that the toxins contained by this mushroom will make puke, it's hallucinogenic too.
This is not an Amanita Regalis, it's Amanita Muscaria.
Oh, by the way, Amanita Regalis is poisonous too.

I understand they are edible, but I am just going to let them grow. They are actually very pretty.
