Description:

Largest of the African antelope. Dull fawn, sometimes with up to five vertical white stripes on the flanks; mature bulls become progressivly blue grey, especially on the neck.( Smithers' mammals of southern africa a field guide. fourth edition)

Open grassland

Notes:

This specimen was drinking at the source of the giant park of a farm I visited. They told me it was calm, so i apprached it by foot until they said ran after me as it was still not a good idea to speriment its charge :)
