Moscow is in my eyes out of the range of Kaniska canace and I did not find any reference in European books.
Oh, @Bayucca xanthomelas is very similar to the Kaniska canace in the underside! But I'm afraid since we don't know what's the color in the upperside, we can't tell wich species it is!
Maybe if Dimitri could tell us :)
One of the most tricky ones, I IDed from Europe. It is definitely a Nymphalis sp. and I think it is Nymphalis xanthomelas, due to the more intense color contrasts and the sharper scalopped forewings. The other candidate is Nymphalis polychloros.

No, it's not a tawny moth. It looks like a polygonia c, or a kaniska canace
