Bold Jumping Spider

Phidippus audax

Description:

Common jumping spiders with some of the best vision in the insect world. They don't build webs like other spiders, instead hunting down and pouncing on their prey (often other spiders!).

Notes:

Common species of jumping spider with really great coloring on his chelicerae. Looks like I interrupted a meal - from the coloring, I'd guess he may have nabbed himself a Green Sweat Bee, but I can't be sure.
