Brown-throated 3-toed Sloth

Bradypus variegatus

Description:

Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve

Habitat:

We had the great fortune of visiting a sloth colony. We spotted several during our visit. This one seemed pretty sacked out and comfy on his very high tree perch in a flooded forest. The area was fairly open but each sloth looked more like a giant tree knot than a mammal.
