Description:

Also known as an Army worm moth because the larva of this moth are known as "Common Army worms". Near the porch light to the entrance of a house. They feed on weedy grasses, as well as important crops such as hay, barley, corn, millet, oats, rice, rye, sorghum, sugarcane, and wheat. The larvae of this moth are a major agricultural pest in North America.

Habitat:

Neighborhood with lots of houses nearby but there is a heavily wooded area less than a mile away. Was attracted to the porch light at the entrance of the house.
