this is most probably common brimstone. but argument is on in Facebook butterfly group on whether this one really is G.rhamni or G.farinosa. :) any comment is welcome.

It is most probably Rhamni. Farinosa is a typical mediterranean to syroturcian species with some rare and not systematic reports from central Asia but no reports from India. It is possible that you might find Farinosa in India but not very likely.
