Ingerophrynus parvus
So true, its always so nice to see them in the wild, in their natural environment instead of zoo.
We got to see 6 white rhinos and just 1 black rhino, but considering how few are left in the wild I was very happy to just see the one :)
Will surely do that.
Lots of White Rhinos at Hluhluwe and most of them can come up close.
The Black Rhinos are more difficult to spot at Hluhluwe, good thing you saw them :)
Please let me know! I've been there twice now and missed all the cats both times as well, so those are very high on my list too. Did get both black and white rhino this past time, so don't have to concentrate on trying to find them next time before they're all gone :/
Good reason to go back :D
Try Hluhluwe next time, the Guides were tracking 2 family of wild dogs when I was there last June.
Am going back in March, will check if they are still easily located with their tracings :D
Thank you, I did have a great trip! We spent a lot of time looking for reptiles and amphibians, so unfortunately my mammal list for the trip is pretty weak. We didn't see any carnivores besides Jackals. I'll make it back eventually, wild dogs will definitely be on my list!
@Ashley - looks like you had a great trip to South Africa.
Lots of cool sightings and great pics too.
Did you get to see the wild dogs?
