Green Heron

Butorides virescens

Notes:

We came to the Japanese Garden behind the Sepulveda Damn by chance. Lots of Canadian Geese, doves, a couple of Mallard Ducks, a couple of Cormorants, lots of beautiful lily pad flowers, and beautiful bamboo. Great place to get pictures. The Green Heron was my most prized picture. He moves very slowly and quietly with those big feet. Near the shoreline he waits for the fish to come near and he is fast.
