Desert Rhubarb

Description:

This is the desert rhubarb, a narrowly distributed, rare and protected plant. It is found only in S Israel (central Negev Desert Highlands), S Jordan(Edom Mts) and N Saudi-Arabia. This unique plant produces 2-3 huge leaves, and blooms only in rainy years, like this year.
