North American Millipede

Narceus americanus

Description:

Very large millipedes (easily among the largest in the United States) with really great coloring. Be careful when handling them. Let them crawl onto your hand rather than attempting to pick them up with your fingers; if they feel threatened, they will release a smelly chemical which will stain your skin and/or clothing for a good solid week.
