European Mantis

Nice find! Sphodromantis viridis is an African species that is not found in North America (at least not in the wild, it may be kept by hobbyists). This looks like a gravid female European Mantis. Green coloration with the pink bordering (for the green phase ones) plus the distinctive eye spot on the inside of the front legs, identify this beauty as Mantis religiosa.
