Willow Psyllid

Description:

This was a bit darker than the other psyllids I have found on willows. Most of the others I have found were likely Cacopsylla sp. There are upwards of 20 species of willow psyllids in Alaska, many newly described species. They induce galls on their hosts, which I often find as pink bulges and less commonly tube-like structures on the leaves.

Willow tree pictured in the last photo. There are some small streams nearby as well
