Star of Bethlehem

Description:

Early spring I noticed a bulb and leaves with a small bud in between so I was eager to know what will come of it. It looked like one of the many wild onion types you find here in Greece. It took many weeks to see the first flower so as I do not know the name of this plant I would like to receive some information about it.

Notes:

Finally I came to the conclusion that the variation I have in the garden is not "Ornithogalum thyrsoides" but "Ornithogalum arabicum".
