Wild Raspberry

Rubus idaeus

Description:

A tall woody wild shrub that produces edible fruit.

Habitat:

Hillsides, roadsides, open woods and thickets.

Notes:

This one grows on the creek bed in my backyard. Oftentimes I'm either too busy or away when the berries ripen but I'm happy that it provides some food for the local wildlife.
