Spotting

Description:

± 3 mm - I have a feeling this is the first and second instar of a Shield backed bug - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/135... - many of them on this lavender. You can see the empty shell with the bright red one having just climbed out, and the other little black one still waiting for the change - but see the red lines on it - the new instar awaiting.

Habitat:

Lavender in our garden.
