crawdad

antrolana lira

Description:

Almost invisible crawdad, also know as a crayfish. This one just happened to be in a hole I came across. It's "den" is just underneath these long stretches of underground waterways.

Habitat:

Almost anywhere fairly warm in the world. Even in places that are only warm part of the year. Places include: North America, Africa, South America, Asia and Australia as well as parts of Europe.

Notes:

Even though the crawdad is just underneath the surface of the water my camera could not see it. I could see movement and bubbles as well as a little claw but my timing was off.
