Description:

Clear/Transparent bug Crimson dashes.White Heart shape spot on rear of neck, Crimson Red "swoosh™" marks on rear of both wings.

Habitat:

Flew in from Red Maple tree onto a beam on the porch near a light.

Notes:

LEFT SIDE VIEW: 6 Silver jointed & barbed legs similar to a Common Black Cricket. Transparant belly with 6 light bright green downward "triangles" forming on the back & not quite meeting at the belly leaving a line or stripe >< to which is also Transparent. The bands are along 6 cells behind the Thorax. The tip of the "Tail" is also Green colored, making the color band of Green spots to a count of 7 in total. From the rear to the head on 2nd cell, the belly retains a Crimson Red spot. Green spot on neck (under), on foreward most cell where Thorax meets belly. Thorax is White at rear, with a thin Black band in center, and Copper color in front, similiar to what a "striped" Pool/Billiards ball would appear using a black stripe with 2 colors. Neck is made up of 2 parts, a fuller diameter Black section in rear attatched to the Gold Thorax point, it appears the be "retractable" and a "rotater cuff", as the head poked out and swiveled. The head is more Bronze as it is a bit darker than the Copper below the Black neck front part of the Thorax. Big prominent raised Eyes 👀 Ruby in color. ¹Antennas are Approx. 3/8" inch/9mm & begin brigh White at the very base, turning BRIGHT Crimson (Red), having a bend ⅓ of their length (in Lepidotera species, this can distinguish Male from Female), following bent forward from Pink to White fading into Black & thinning to a tapered end. They appear solid, with no notches, feathering nor bulbs. *¹≈THESE ARE ANTENNAS AS I FIRST THOUGHT THIS WAS A NEWBIRN MOSQUITO WHICH JUST TOOK A SIP OF ME! TOO VIEW SHOWED ME DIFFERENTLY. Wings at left side view demonstrate Transparency with a Crimson Red soot/dot where at the precise area & section of the belly is spotted as well. The "jagged" edge along the outside of the wing denotes suspicion it is "veined". More data/info in side angle view... LEFT SIDE VIEW 80° ANGLE= / ←This angle... All info from left side view documented above is accurate with 1 exception being an the wing. Angle photo shows front edge of wing begins with a Copper color receding into Transparant with fine thin Milk White veins, with the edges being entirely bordered Black. The Crimson Red spot is apparent as a spot from the side view, however from above it appears as an upside down Crimson Red triangle beginning from the back just is the Green ones line the cells on the belly. Body protrudes from the tail/rear end as the wings do not fully cover it. White triangle on rear of neck as viewed from above, as well as legs appear Black from Angle view. TOP VIEW (90°). White triangle as observed is a Heart shape, Black border intersecting the innerwings make a thick Black Diamond shape at contact point. Crimson Red on wings appear as a "NIKE© Swoosh©" √ symbol. FACE VIEW: Shows a proboscis/needle.
