Spotting

Description:

About 15mm long, hairy, shiny metallic bronze colour. They were everywhere, covering the ground.

Habitat:

On the ground underneath gum trees.

Notes:

At first I thought they were some kind of caterpillar but when I flipped one over it only had 6 legs at the front half of it's body. So I'm guessing some type of larvae??
