Description:

A big Crane Fly, yellow & black thorax and yellow & black stripes at abdomen. Body about 20mm, total large including legs could be around 40 to 45mm

Habitat:

Spotted at Cameron Highlands, Malaysia rainforest. Commin at Hedgerows, verges and grassy places

Notes:

Adults take nectar and pollen from flowers such as Hogweed. Their larvae are virtually indistinguishable from small Tipula leather-jacket grubs.
