Cool find! However, it is not likely that this is Archimantis latistyla, as this species doesn't occur in North America. It is an Australian Species.
Though I am not sure exactly which species this is, you might want to look at Chinese Mantids and Carolina Mantis and compare to yours. Here is a link to an online guide:
