Cruziohyla sylviae
Spectacularly colored with orange and black on its flanks, large tree frog, newly described species in 2018
tropical rainforest, 200m
I spotted this amazing species at Las Arrieras Nature Reserve. The species normally lives in the canopy but the owner of the reserve has places numerous buckets throughout the forest and the species has adopted these to breed in, along with other amphibian species. The species is doing well at the reserve and can be seen low in the canopy.
