This certain species is a red plant that is spiked on the tips of the leaves creating a unique look for this plant. It is approximately 5 inches tall and 4 inches width wise. Accompanying this plant was a multitude of leaves making the color of this plant stand out even more.

While hiking in Waimea Falls I happened to come across this species. This plant was surrouunded by many types of green plants such as grass and leaves of other plants. Also, it was surrounded by other plants of its kind.
