How about a Blanford's rock agama (Psammophilus blanfordanus)

Agreed it's not a gecko, would also agree looks like a Calotes sp :)

Hi Chief. This doesn't look like a gecko. A different lizard. 'Onnan' in Tamil.
A type of Calotes I think. Check the toes!
