Coyote

Canis latrans

Notes:

While back country skiing in Yellowstone we stopped to see a coyote run up a hill beside us and start howling. He did not seemed phased by us and moments later there were reply howls in the distance. It was late afternoon and so cold you could see the frost coming out of his mouth from his howls. An experience I will never forget.
