Asian palm civet

Paradoxurus hermaphroditus

Description:

Initially thought it is a rat. Found in my backyard at night. I could take only one shot and then this one climbed up my boundary wall and was lost among the thick bushes in the next compound. Think this was a baby and some injury could be seen on the upper jaw. About 30cm including the tail. My home is in the middle of the city and was very surprised to have found this!

Habitat:

Urban as well as rural environment...
