I agree, it's definitely a Charadrius sp. Plover. The one behind could be Charadrius or Calidris sp.

Ruddy Turnstone is a good idea Jemma, but this looks like a plover. Ruddy Turnstones have legs that are more reddish (these look more orange), and their backs are kind of checkered (this plover has a nice smooth brown colored back). Also, Ruddy Turnstone's have a black bib, while this plover only has a black collar.
