Description:

The 13 alternately dotted / entire buffy stripes on the back are diagnostic. The body and head are generally brown. The top of the head is buff, spotted with brown.

Habitat:

Tallgrass prairies.

Notes:

This one was just emerging from its den when we passed by. A great moment!
