Italian bugloss (Aγόγλωσσο)

Anchusa azurea

Description:

Anchusa azurea is a species of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae, known by the common name Italian bugloss (or just "bugloss"). In Crete island, Greece, it is called "αγόγλωσσος" (:agoglossos) and the locals eat the tender stems boiled, steamed or fried. My kids spotted this one, at MIlina village, Pagasitikos gulf, Greece
