Hi Leuba. I think your right about it being hard coral. I always just assumed it was an anemone as the shrimp is an Anemone Shrimp. I'll take a closer look next time. Thanks so much.
Thanks Andrew. Your specimen might be a hard coral ( not anemone) with lovely pale polyps. I am no expert but it looks like Euphyllia ancora, commonly known as Hammer Coral, judging by pics on the web. Look forward to seeing shots of the coral -thanks again.
Thanks Leuba. I'm so sorry. I looked at the other pictures that I took and they all show about the same amount of the anemone. Next time I dive I look for one of these as I see them reasonably often.
Lovely shrimp & anemone. Andrew, I would love to see more of the anemone as well if you have any shots ?? Thanks - just being greedy. The whorly shapes look interesting.

My guess was right...see, what I found just now...interesting, no?
Hi SukanyaDatta, I'm not sure what the connection is. Couldn't find anything written about it. Sorry.
Sarasvati is an intriguing name...she is the Hindu Goddess of learning...I wonder what the connection is. Any idea|?
